Art, for Art’s sake
This unapologetically gore filled extravaganza puts its clown booted foot on the gas and doesn’t lift it until the credits are rolling
After grossing over $5.2 million in theaters in just three weeks, Terrifier 2 will stream uncut exclusively on Screambox on October 31st 2022.
Stephen King praised the film for “grossin’ you out old-school.” Its unprecedented performance and unrelenting gore has also garnered buzz from Howard Stern, The New York Times, Forbes, People, The Talk, and WWE.
Terrifier 2 will be available on 4K UHD (Best Buy exclusive), Steelbook Blu-ray (Walmart exclusive), Blu-ray, and DVD in December via Cinedigm as part of its Screambox collection.
In the sequel to the 2016 cult classic slasher Terrifier, Art the Clown is resurrected by a sinister entity and targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.
With a running time of just shy of 2 hours and 20 minutes, this unapologetically gore filled extravaganza puts its clown booted foot on the gas and doesn’t lift it until the credits are rolling then it pumps the brakes for a minute letting you have a breather then slams its foot back down for one last afterburn that’ll stay with you long past Christmas.
The acting throughout is superb, with Lauren LaVera cementing her place in the scream queen pantheon.
Let’s be honest, with horror shot on a smaller budget you would usually feel every second of the 2 hours runtime, but this has production values that would have you believing it was a big studio movie, and some of the best practical effects I’ve seen in years. The script and pacing mean it clips along at a great pace, and when you get around half way through, well lets just say it kicks it up a notch.
If you have enjoyed Damien Leone’s previous works, you are going to LOVE this movie. So head over to Screambox and get ready for some extreme Halloween entertainment.
Terrifier’s Damien Leone writes and directs. David Howard Thornton reprises his iconic role as Art the Clown alongside Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam, Samantha Scaffidi and horror staple Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp).
Terrifier 2 joins Screambox’s growing library of unique horror content, including Pennywise: The Story of IT, Masters of Horror, 13 Nights of Elvira, Satan’s Little Helper, PussyCake, Toxic Crusaders, and the original Terrifier.
