A Daring Netflix Original, returns
After a superb first season, Daredevil returned to Netflix this week for season two.
I watched episode three last night, and what an episode it was.
Jon Bernthal‘s portrayal of Frank Castle A.K.A. “THE PUNISHER” continues to impress, he hits just the right balance of hard ass and tortured soul.
The standout moments in this episode were the stunning, believable fight scene in the corridors of an apartment block. The way Murdock tires during his fights is great, just when he thinks he can get a respite from a beating, another wave of bad guys appears.
“Foggy” Nelson comes into his own, using words as his weapon in a tense scene in a lovely hospital ward. Casualty this is not!
some people will be familiar with The Punisher comics and may recognise some of the themes in episode 3 (Punisher #3, vol 4 (2000-2001), by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon)
The third episode in any series is often the point where people decide if they are going to stick with it, it’s the point where you can at least say you gave it a try.
This episode leaves you wanting more.
