“I sense great fear in you, Skywalker. You have hate… you have anger… but you don’t use them.”

So the news that Star Wars Battlefront’s DLC “Season Pass” is going to be (more or less) £40 hasn’t gone down well with gamers.

Ending the high of the “Beta” (that’s what they call demos now kids) with this news seemed a strange choice by EA.

The idea of paying around £55 for a “full” game, and then having to pay, pretty much, the same amount again for extra bits (that are already on that disc you bought there skippy) would seem outrageous in other areas.

Imagine buying a ticket to Star wars episode 7 later this year for £10, then just as you got to the end they told you that to get the full experience you needed to pay an extra £8.

Imagine going for a meal, you place your order, want mayo £2 extra, salt? £1 Vinegar £1

People on Twitter don’t seem too pleased with the news

Unfortunately, these people will more than likely still go out and pay for the DLC and the season passes in fear of missing out on something.

EA look set to rake in £3 Billion from sales of the game alone

If you want to get a message across to these companies that you’re not happy with this sales model, you need to make a stand. Vote with your wallet. If nobody buys this guff, then they won’t release it. That game you buy will be a finished article. IMAGINE THAT!

A game you put into your console on day one, and it works. No patch required, it’s almost like you got what you paid for. That can’t be right in this day and age, can it?

I personally won’t even be picking the game up, I have had it with cash ins like this now I think? Battlefield with a Star Wars skirt on. Sure, my mates will all have it and I’ll be “missing out”, but in 3 months, the next thing will come along (replete of DLC) and we’ll move on to that, happily brain washed

Perhaps it’s time we put on the Shades?

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass… and I’m all out of bubblegum.
